Selected work

Built to be used, not just viewed.

A few projects that show the approach: clear priorities, small pages, and a focus on how the thing behaves on a real phone.

01 / Editorial

Lidnews24

A lightweight news service designed for readers on basic phones and slow connections. The site uses plain HTML and CSS, with no client-side JavaScript, iframes, external fonts, or tracking scripts.

The build includes a clear homepage, a latest index, article pages, shared navigation, a privacy notice, and a sitemap. The priority was not a large feature set; it was a page that opens quickly and reads well.

02 / Identity

Licdn

This site is a working example of the same approach: a personal practice page built with plain HTML and CSS, a small logo, and no JavaScript. It is designed to be readable on a basic phone and to load with very little data.

The structure is deliberately simple: a clear introduction, a short account of how I work, the services, selected projects, and a direct contact route.

  • Role: design, writing, and build
  • Focus: clear identity and fast loading
  • Stack: HTML, CSS, one PNG logo
  • Constraints: Free Basics technical guidelines
  • Included: seven pages and a sitemap

Common thread

Less weight. More attention to what matters.

Each project starts with the same question: what can be removed without making the page less useful?

01

Start with the content

Words, order, and hierarchy before decoration. If the page is not clear in plain text, it will not be clear with more styling.

02

Test on the smallest screen

A layout that works on a basic phone is usually a stronger layout everywhere else.

03

Keep the code legible

Simple markup and CSS are easier to maintain, cheaper to host, and less likely to break quietly.

04

Measure what matters

Page weight, load time, readable contrast, working links, and whether a person can find the next step.
